ARID Resilience Brewery Conversation

December 4, 2024, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Bow & Arrow Brewing Co.
608 McKnight Ave NW, Albuquerque, NM 87102

We will discuss ongoing research to find soil fungi that can help remove or detoxify heavy metals (lead, arsenic, uranium) from lands affected by historical mining. Our goal is to test whether fungi can bioremediate metals better if they have a little help from plants. We would also love community feedback on the development of a new undergraduate course model to build hands-on experience with community-engaged research, including working with Tribal communities and partners.
