GreenGro Media Recieves ARID Special Award at 2024 Pitch Deck Competition

The 2024 Pitch Deck Competition was held the evening of December 5, 2024, and was co-hosted by UNM Rainforest Innovations and the UNM Innovation Academy. ARID sponsored a special $2,000 prize for a pitch demonstrating excellence in resilience-related innovations. The judging panel (Chris Japp, Tramway Venture Partners; Yri Lopez, J2 Ventures; and John Stormont, TS-Nano, Inc.) selected GreenGro Media as the recipient of the ARID Special Award. GreenGro Media is UNM students Joshua Zamora-Griego, Business; and Alex Coker, Mechanical Engineering, who pitched a technology to recycle and decontaminate the media used in lab-grown meat production.
