ARID Supports Engagement for Climate Action Planning at UNM Sustainability Expo

April 25, 2025

On April 24, 2025, over 90 organizations, vendors, UNM centers and departments, and student groups participated in the annual UNM Sustainabiltiy Expo. The ARID Institute had a table and supported the City of Albuquerque Sustainability Office, the NM Department of the Environment, and the NM Climate Policy Bureau in engagement with the UNM community to get input on the Central New Mexico Comprehensive Climate Action Plan and the New Mexico Climate Action Plan.

In addition to feedback on specific elements and considerations to be included in each plan, ARID held silent conversations on key themes for Expo attendees to provide additional thoughts and priorities.

Visit the linked websites above for more information about how to get engaged in future meetings and provide input into both planning processes.
