Climate Vision Roundtable

The New Mexico Climate Policy Bureau and the UNM Sustainability Studies Program hosted a Climate Vision Roundtable on April 19, 2024 at the Mountain Cloud Zen Center in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The ARID Institute was one of the sponsors, and members of ARID’s leadership participated in the event. Participants engaged in small group visioning exercises to identify possible elements of a future New Mexico from the following prompt: “It is 2044 and New Mexico has emerged as a global leader in transition, resilience, and regeneration. What does this look like and how did we get there?” This event gathered the entire Climate Bureau Staff and their allies across State agencies, specialists from Colleges at UNM, and community leaders, to vision possibilities for future climate policy and action. The Intermountain West Transformation Network also co-sponsored the roundtable.
